Meet Risfa, fondly known as Rish among her colleagues, who works as a Supervisor in Client Relations at Skytours’ Maafaru station (VRDA). She was drawn to the aviation industry for its diversity and ever-evolving nature. To her, success means earning respect and recognition through dedication and hard work.
Starting her journey as a Customer Service Assistant, Rish gained valuable experience catering to elite clients visiting Maafaru. Her greatest strength is attention to detail, a crucial skill in her current role. However, she sometimes finds herself overanalyzing situations, which can be stressful. She is actively working on balancing this trait.
One of the most rewarding aspects of her job is maintaining the Skytours premises at VRDA, ensuring they remain functional, safe, and welcoming. A key challenge she faces is managing resources efficiently in an island setting while delivering top-tier service. To grow in her role, she stays engaged with industry professionals on social media and keeps up with the latest trends through books, journals, and magazines.
Given the demanding nature of her job, pressure is inevitable. Rish stays calm and focused by organizing her tasks effectively. She believes her strengths—innovation, creativity, and customer service—add value to the VRDA team. One of her fondest memories is attending Skytours’ collaboration event at the main hub.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exercising, and capturing moments. She deeply admires personal integrity and draws inspiration from her mother. Looking ahead, she envisions herself as a team leader and entrepreneur, hoping to inspire more women to join the aviation industry. She believes additional role-specific training would enhance service quality and advises those interested in aviation to embrace its dynamic challenges and global opportunities.
