When a flight to the Maldives is taking shape, a complete first request helps the operations team check the permit alongside the airport slot, parking and handling arrangements. You do not need to wait until every passenger service is finalized to start a conversation, but tell us which details are provisional so we can follow up as the schedule firms up.
For a general aviation landing permit request, please send:
- Operator’s name
- Aircraft type and registration
- Callsign
- Maximum takeoff weight (MTOW)
- Tentative number of crew and passengers
- Purpose of flight
- Tentative schedule, including the point of origin and next destination after the Maldives, with all times in UTC
- Operator’s billing address
- General description of any goods carried, if it is a cargo flight
These details give us a starting point for the permit request and related airport arrangements. Please identify the flight category at the outset, as commercial charter, medevac, ferry and other special operations may require further information or a different approval route.
The tentative schedule can be updated once the operational schedule is confirmed. Our Operations Control Centre can advise what can be started with the information available and what must be confirmed before submission. A permit request and an airport slot are separate arrangements. Submitting a request does not confirm permit approval, a slot, parking or handling availability.
Send the available flight details to our 24/7 Operations Control Centre. For more on how we support the flight, see Ground Handling & Flight Support.
