Lamya Mohamed Azeez
Coordinator, OCC

Meet Lamya, fondly known to her colleagues as “Lamy”. Her passion for aviation began in childhood, inspired by frequent travels and her sister’s journey into the industry. With a degree in Airline and Airport Management, she gained firsthand experience working as an Aerodrome Officer at MACL, where she spent most of her time on the apron, navigating runways, taxiways, and airport operations. This hands-on exposure provided her with invaluable knowledge, shaping her career path.
Currently serving as an OCC Coordinator at Skytours, Lamy plays a key role in overseeing operations, problem-solving, and multitasking in a dynamic environment. Her ability to prioritize tasks and make quick decisions under pressure has made her a valuable asset to the team. She takes pride in her determination and continues to work on overcoming challenges, including the fear of making mistakes, by focusing on continuous learning and improvement.
As a woman in aviation, Lamy acknowledges the challenges faced in a male-dominated industry but credits her success to the unwavering support of her family and husband. She strongly believes in hard work, perseverance, and self-confidence, encouraging aspiring female leaders to remain committed to their goals despite setbacks.
Her ambition is to grow within the aviation industry and eventually work for an international airline, where she can contribute to global operations. She envisions herself in a leadership role, making meaningful contributions while maintaining a balance between professional growth and personal fulfillment. For Lamy, success is not just about reaching new heights in her career but also about being part of a supportive team that values her contributions.
Outside of work, she enjoys quiet moments at home, often accompanied by her cat. With a passion for continuous learning, she remains dedicated to expanding her knowledge and expertise in aviation, ensuring she stays ahead in an ever-evolving industry.
